God Moves in Fresno!

Sitting in my hotel room, God has brought me to an unusual, but powerful place in this conference. Since we began on Thursday (our team began at 5 am, for some…) God’s hand has been with us, moving around and through us. We have had to face many battles for this conference, including an injury that kept Betty from being able to attend the conference. Though satan may rage, we know he has already lost!
On Friday night, with a little discombobulation, we started the conference with a plan and a way we thought the night would progress at 7 pm. About half way into praise and worship, with the worship team from Bethel Christian Center, lead by Pastor Jeff Sims; Chad Taylor stepped up and began to proclaim revival fire over Fresno, calling the Pastor’s present to begin to cry out to God for the city. Worship went to a very high place that night, with praise and worship alternating at a pace, I must be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. It was as if there was a pressing then a waiting, a pressing then a waiting…
Needless to say, our plans and ideas moved out of the way. Rev. Emill Bridges was asked to be a part of the worship team that night and brought a powerful addition to the anointing that was present! About 8:45pm (yes 1 hour and 45 minutes of worship & prayer) we felt the Spirit of God directing us to move into what is called a “Protocol Ceremony.” When stepping into another area BTV Worship Ministries felt that God wanted us to be a part of a reconciliation ceremony with the Native Americans of the Fresno/Central Valley area. Though simple it proved to be a very humbling and powerful moment that evening which led to many open doors in the Spirit Realm for the rest of the conference. (Much thanks to Dan & Maggie Roybal, Donna Featherstone, and Irene Egan!)
Friday evening began with the BTV Worship Team lead by Emill Bridges. God showed up again in a very intense time of worship and warfare. Breakthrough was present and walls fell down, God ambushed us and put us in a pace of the intercessor, crying Revival in the city of Fresno and California. I know that many things occurred in the Spirit that night that we will see have an impact on the Central Valley and California many years from now! Tommy Tenney brought an awesome message on the story of Ruth, a very relevant word about making an intentional choice to serve God.
An early morning arrived and 10 AM on Saturday with a great service with the BTV Worship Team and Pastor Karen Green bringing a word on what it really means to “Take the City.” Her message emphasized preaching Christ, who He is and what He does, rather than preaching His death. The day continued with a team that stormed the city of Fresno, specifically the Tower District of Downtown. Many testimonies came from that time, to many to share here, but lives were changed, people were fed spiritually and physical, and God was glorified!
The conference concluded with a BANG! Saturday evening continued with the same themes that had been seen throughout the weekend, fire and surrender. A local worship team lead by Elizabeth Milor began to worship prophetically with the fire “burning” in each of us which led to a time of surrender to God. God graced us that night as well and released a Spirit of Revival that I believe we will see to be greater than any Great Awakening, Refreshing, Renewal or Revival we have experienced!
Once again that evening Tommy Tenney preached a word on worship out of the most unlikely scripture, the begats of Matthew 1. New revelation came to many about the power of our worship to God and some wells were re-dug to allow us to tap back into God’s plan for our earth.
The “Take the City” Worship Conference was challenging, personally stretching and unique. Through it all I know God was present and glorified! Many things were shifted, torn down and even some things made new. I am eager and excited to see what God will do in Fresno and the Central Valley of California!
Many thanks to our team, our Partners(financial & prayer), the intercessors, the many volunteers, Bethel Christian Center, Victory Christian Fellowship, the worship teams, the many Pastors and Leaders who were involved, and GOD!
